2025 John Ourth Award Winners

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, two of our Seneca High School students were recognized at the Annual John Ourth Student Recognition Breakfast held at Streator High School.  This Recognition Breakfast is sponsored by the Starved Rock Region Illinois Principal Association, in memory of its founder, John Ourth.  It was John’s encouragement and leadership that brought principals, students, and their families together for positive recognition.  The students that are chosen from various different high schools must have some of the same qualities that John had, exceptional leadership skills and being an outstanding role model for others.

We were very proud to send Clara Bruno and Paxton Giertz as our “John Ourth” representatives.  Both Clara and Paxton were chosen by the faculty and staff of Seneca High School as our Outstanding Role Models with Exceptional Leadership Skills.
