Slutz, Mr. Blake
Special Education Department
Mr. Blake Slutz currently teaches English 9-12, English II, and Resource. He is in his first year of teaching at Seneca High School. Prior to teaching at Seneca, Mr. Slutz taught for one year at LaSalle-Peru Township High School and two years at Bloomington Junior High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in special education from Illinois State University and is currently working on earning his Master's degree in the Teaching & Learning of Literacy from his alma mater. Mr. Slutz also coaches Scholastic Bowl at Seneca.
Mr. Slutz lives in Ottawa. He enjoys spending his free time reading, hiking, kayaking, and relaxing with his family. He is excited for the opportunity to belong to the Irish community and to help shape the future of Seneca's excellent students.
